Core Dossier
For the 2024-2025 promotion and tenure review cycle, the following instructions apply:
Assistant Professors seeking promotion to Associate Professor and those up for Fourth Year Review (also all Clinical/Teaching/Practice and Research faculty up for reappointment) must use the new ASC Core Dossier 2024-2025 (versions with and without instructions linked below).
Associate Professors seeking promotion to Professor are encouraged to use the ASC Core Dossier Template 2024-2025, but we are allowing an exception this year only. Those who prefer may continue to use the older Core Dossier (Vita) template (linked below). Please see the OAA P&T Handbook (Vol 3)[pdf] for instructions for this version of the core dossier.

To be included in dossiers for faculty seeking tenure with temporary immigration status:
In accordance with Faculty Rule 3335-6-03(D), probationary tenure-track faculty may request up to 3 extensions of the tenure clock. The applicable request form (linked below) should be completed and signed by the faculty member and the TIU head and submitted to ascfacultyaffairs@osu.edu along with all required documentation. All requests must be submitted by April 1 of the academic year immediately preceding the faculty member's mandatory promotion and tenure review.

Wednesday, August 14, 10am-12pm
Workshop on Interfolio for Case Managers. This session is most relevant for staff supporting P&T reviews this fall and 4th Year/Reappointment reviews in spring, but may be useful for all staff, TIU Heads, P&T Chairs, and PODs. The workshop focuses primarily on the nuts and bolts of Interfolio functionality related to the P&T process and touches briefly on the recently launched Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) tool in relation to staff.

The workshop will focus on dossier forms and assembly of the complete dossier for submission to the college. It will have information relevant for tenure-track, clinical/teaching/practice, and research faculty promotion and promotion and tenure reviews. Please plan to send at least one representative from your department. Note that this is NOT appropriate for faculty candidates for promotion as it deals with steps that occur after the core dossier is submitted to the department.
