Emeritus Faculty
Tenure-track, clinical/teaching/practice, research, and associated faculty are eligible for consideration for emeritus status upon retirement or resignation at the age of sixty or older with ten or more years of service or at any age with twenty-five or more years of service at the university (see Faculty Rules 3335-5-19 and 3335-5-36). To apply for Emeritus status complete the Request for Emeritus Status (Form 207) and submit along with a signed letter of retirement to ascfacultyaffairs@osu.edu.

Clinical/Teaching/Practice Faculty
This is a timetable for units requesting appointment of new CTP faculty to start in Autumn 2025.
- February 28, 2025: Suggested date for chairs/directors to inform Divisional Dean and Faculty Affairs of intent to request CTP Faculty appointments.
- March 28, 2025: Suggested date for candidates to submit application materials to their chair/director and Committee of Eligible Faculty for departmental/school review (may be adjusted in line with unit schedules).
- April 25, 2025: Suggested final date for units to schedule meeting of Committee of Eligible Faculty to review materials and vote on appointment of each candidate.
- May 30, 2025: Appointment materials and request form due to the college.
- June 27, 2025: Target date for college to notify chairs and directors of result of college reviews.
- August 15, 2025: Academic appointment start date for all approved candidates.
